The OMC Board
-
Ken Sharlin, President
Ken became OMC president in April 2009, following John Montgomery. Valerie, his wife, his son Gabriel, and Ken all enjoy triathlon. Ken completed his second year of competition in 2009, ending with the Pumpkinman Triathlon Festival Half-Iron in South Berwick, ME. When not swimming, biking,

David Settle, Vice President
David fits the mold of eat, sleep, work, train to the T. An experienced triathlete and marathon runner, David recently completed his fourth half-ironman race, and is training for his fifth, the 2009 season finale in Austin, the Ironman 70.3 Longhorn. In addition to his work for Dairy Famers of America as a food scientist

John Cardoza, Secretary
John lives in the shadows, so this is the best picture we can get of him. This amiable gentleman stepped right up when there was an opening for a secretary in the club. His typing skills and his thoughtful input are always welcome at board meetings. We're just hoping John gets into the light long enough that someone can snap a photo of him!
-
Pam Elsaesser, Treasurer
Pam is an accountant with C.U. and a triathlete. She has completed several ironman races, including IM Arizona and Louisville. In November 2009, she will tackle IM Florida. Pam brings her accounting skills to the table as treasurer of OMC. You can't get a single penny past Pam, so don't even try.

-
Jeff Del Vecchio, Sponsorship Director
Jeff is one of the founding members of OMC, and one of our most experienced triathletes. Having braved the waters of Alcatraz once, Jeff did what no convict would ever dare to do: return and do it again. Jeff has completed several ironman races, including Wisconsin twice, Florida, Arizona and most recently along with John Montgomery, in Penticton, B.C, Ironman Canada. Jeff's iron horse is his trusty Litespeed, a favorite of several OMC members. When he's not firing his rocket down Farm Road 186 in Rogersville, he can be found
-
Valerie Griffin, Social Director
Valerie brings her many years of experience in organizing large events for active older adults and for bicyle enthusiasts to the table for OMC.
-
Kurt Larson, Member-At-Large; Legal Counsel
Kurt burst his way into the boardroom of OMC much the same way he gets into the courtroom. This attorney-by-day with Larson Law Firm brings immense experience, talent, and insight to the table at our meetings. After dabbling in triathlon for a couple of years by competing in the annual Republic Tiger Tri

John Montgomery, Past President
John is a sagittarius. The image of the archer galloping through the woods is fitting for John who has a particular knack for trail running. John served as president of Ozarks Multisport Club until about March 2009. John is married to Nicole. When he is not enjoying family time, or managing a trucking company, John embraces the great outdoors in the true spirit of multisport.
-
Derek Kaelin, Member-At-Large
Derek hails from Fenton, Missouri, a suburb of St. Louis. After serving four years in the United States Marine Corps, he went to college in Minnesota, and then dental school. Along with board member Dan Fannin, Derek is part of Parkcrest Dental Group. It was because of Derek that the OMC Bylaws were amended to limit Parkcrest Dental to no more than two seats on the board.
-
Dan Fannin, Member-At-Large
Dan was born on the 4th of July. From that point onward, he decided the rocket's red glare and bombs bursing in air meant he should be on a Litespeed aimed directly for Kona, Hawaii. He hasn't made it there quite yet, but along the way, he's raced in a few triathlons, gotten married, had kids,
