Valerie Griffin, Social Director
Valerie brings her many years of experience in organizing large events for active older adults and for bicycle enthusiasts to the table for OMC. In addition to being Social Director she is the Captain of the St. John's Bike Club that currently counts over 450 members on its list. Her club has been the top team fundraiser for the annual MS Bike ride here in the Ozarks. She organizes the Nixa Bike Ride that takes place every May and the Tour de Bass Bike Ride that takes place every October. Valerie became a triathlete in 2009 to "keep up with her husband." Together they competed in 14 events. Valerie did her first triathlon in Galveston, TX, the Lone Star Sprint, only about 6-8 weeks after learning to run and endurance swim. She has competed in Sprint, Olympic, and Half-Iron events.
